Is there a minimal rental period?

As we are very popular and because our storage prices are so low, there is a minimum rental period of one month.

However very often one month of storage with us can be cheaper than two or even one week’s storage with another company.

Do I need my own lock?

No. You do not need to bring your own lock.

For our outdoor storage units we provide a very heavy duty, very expensive lock which is made to fit the units. We are the only ones who can have keys cut for these locks making them very secure.

For our indoor storage rooms we provide you with a new lock included with the rent.

If you want unlimited, 24 hour access to your unit you will need to pay a key deposit of £50. This is simply to ensure we get our locks returned to us at the end of the rental period.

Are there any hidden charges?
Unlike other storage companies in Newcastle there are no additional charges such as compulsory insurance levies.
Do you offer any discounts?

We try to keep our prices as low as possible to all of our customers.

We do not put our prices up to bring them down as part of a “special promotion” or “introductory offer” we like to offer the best price to everyone.

We have been running for 10 years and our prices are as low now as they were then.

How can I pay?

We accept as many forms of payment as possible:

Cash
Cheque
Credit and Debit Card payments
Standing Order and Internet Transfer

When do I pay?
We ask that you pay at the start of each month for a full month.

The reason we ask for a month in advance is simply because we have over 300 customers spread over 4 different sites and it would simply take too much time to collect our storage payments weekly.

However if you move out before the end of the month we will refund you for every single day which is not used.

With us you never pay for storage you have not used.

Do I have to come to site to pay each month?
We understand that life is hectic enough as it is without having to trail across to our offices every month.

So you can easily setup a standing order or internet transfer to pay each month.

You can setup an automated card payment for each month.

Or you can call us to pay by credit or debit card over the phone whenever is convenient for you.

Is there a deposit to be paid?
If you wish to keep the key to your storage space there is a £50 deposit to be paid.

This is simply because we use very heavy duty, expensive locks.

The key deposit also includes your gate pass which will allow you to access the site at any time.

You can get your key deposit back at any time.

When are you open?
Our office hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 to 17:00.

However if you can give us advanced notice we can be available by appointment at any time outside of office hours.

Do I need insurance?
In the ten years we have been operating in the storage industry we have
not had a single problem with theft or damage to the contents of our storage rooms or containers. This is something in which we are very proud.

We have made sure that our site security is as effective as possible and continue to improve and adapt as the years go on.

All of our outdoor storage units are completely individual, which means that water damage or fire can not spread between them.

Our indoor units have fire alarms fitted to them, which are in contact with our staff 24 hours of the day.

As a result we do not offer insurance.

Many storage companies use insurance as a way of making a little extra money out of their customers.

However if you are still not convinced we are more than happy to point you in the right direction of insurance companies which our customers have used in the past.

Is there any notice period if I want to give the space up?
After you have been storing with us for over a month you can give the storage space up at any time without giving us any notice.

We simply ask that you make sure the unit is returned clean for the next customer and the keys are returned to our office.

If you have paid any rent in advance that will be returned to you straight away.

Can I get 24 hour access?
You can have 24 hour access, seven days a week. Completely
free.
What do I need to bring with me?
We will need one month’s rent and if you wish to have regular and 24
hour access we would need £50 returnable key deposit.
Do you provide a removals service?
We currently do not provide a removal service as we concentrate on our storage services.

We are more than happy to recommend a removals company which we have been working alongside for several years now and can provide you with their details at any time.

If however you are thinking of moving your own property we can offer a free collection service.

How does the free collection service work?
Our free collection service is available to any customer who is planning on storing with us for 3 months or more.

If you are planning on staying us for a shorter time period you are still welcome to use the service however there may be a charge depending on where you are moving from and how long you are planning on storing with us.

Our collection service involves us sending a large removal van with a driver to your property to collect your belongings.

Unfortunately our driver can not help you load the van in case he breaks anything or hurts himself in the process.

However if you can enlist family and friends the move can usually be completed very easily and quickly.

This is ideal if you are thinking of hiring a van or moving yourself in your own vehicle.
